Continuing her efforts to stay accessible and transparent to all 51st District communities, state Rep. Mary Edly-Allen, D-Libertyville, has launched a series of mobile office hours throughout June.
She has held mobile office hours already this month at Fremont Public Library in Mundelein and Cook Memorial Public Library in Libertyville. The next sessions are:
- Thursday, June 20, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway in Barrington
- Tuesday, June 25, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail in Lake Zurich
“It is very important to me that my staff and I have the opportunity to reach out to residents in every community to discuss the issues that are facing Illinois,” Rep. Edly-Allen said. “It is my responsibility to be proactive and listen to residents to understand their needs and how I can better represent them in Springfield.”
Rep. Edly-Allen’s mobile office hours allow residents to access state services and receive assistance on state-related issues in addition to her full-time constituent services office in Libertyville. Her Libertyville office is at 1585 N. Milwaukee Ave., Suite 7. The office is across the street from Adler Park.
Appointments are not necessary, but constituents will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
“My district stretches across a wide area of Lake and Cook counties, Rep. Edly-Allen noted. “While my Libertyville office is always accessible and we are always willing to accommodate the schedules of local residents, it’s important that we are doing our part to make our office as accessible and open as possible to every single resident in the 51st District,” she added.
“I encourage residents to stop by and share their concerns and ideas, receive assistance on a state-related issue, or just stop in to say hello and introduce themselves.”
